| Making a
connection with the Creator of the universe and His unconditional love may
sound like an impossible task. It's the Father who wants to make a
connection with you through the gracious gift of Jesus Christ. It is
a simple as your ABC's:
Admit
that you are a sinner and need a right relationship with God. The
Bible says: "There is none righteous, not even one." Romans
3:10. "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Romans 3:23.
Believe that God's Son, Jesus Christ,
makes it possible for you to have a personal relationship with God.
"God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself." 2 Corinthians
5:19.
Confess your sin (living your life your
way and ignoring God) to God and accept His forgiveness. "Through
Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you." Acts
13:38.
Dedicate yourself as a fully devoted follower of Christ,
Jesus said "If anyone wishes to come after me, let him deny himself, and
take up his cross daily, and follow me." Luke 9:23.
Express your faith in Christ publically.
"If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart
that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved." Romans 10:9.
A prayer to receive Jesus:
Dear Jesus, I want to follow You. I turn from my sin and place my
trust in You alone and ask for Your forgiveness. Right now, I
receive Your gift of eternal life and confess you as Lord. Thank You
for loving my and dying for me. Thank you for giving me new life.
